How we choose your remedy

Your practitioner chooses the remedy from a totality of information you have provided under the banner of classical homeopathy. We use facial analysis (miasmatic or defence mechanism of patient) plus totality of symptoms current and past (from proforma and/or discussion with you).

We do not choose the remedy based on perceived or actual personality profile – this is not a classical homeopathic methodology and has a low success rate. Miasm and totality are Hahnemann based principles from classical homeopathy. There are many forms of homeopathy. We developed HFA (Homeopathic Facial Analysis) homeopathy to follow Hahnemann’s instructions and further our clinical success.

HFA has been tested for over 25 years and is the mainstay of how we practice. We do not use other methods – protocols, clearing remedies, personality pictures, polar remedies, layers methodology, sensation, family constellations, non-facial miasm treatments etc as we do not believe they encompass true homeopathic understanding and methodology.

FIRST REMEDY

Reading about remedies is generally not helpful. We use extensive data about remedies to make remedy choices. Remedies have thousands of indications. Any book or online summary may or may not match the pattern you or your child may present with as they will only include 10-50 indications. Some patients find it confusing to read negative or a different picture to the way they see themselves or their child. We don’t teach remedies via a “picture” as the chance of totality accuracy is low.

The first remedy is chosen to test the patient’s response. It may range from no response, to a slight response, to a solid response and occasionally a “rattled” response. We are very careful with remedy choices and dosing and try to avoid this. But as all cases are “rattled” on commencement it can be difficult to tell. This type of response needs to last more than 3 days after taking the first remedy and to be somewhat different to the usual pattern of symptoms or a strong regression of the same symptoms before contacting the clinic. Email your practitioner if you see this and explain in summary what is of concern – and importantly if there are any external stresses that may be a contributing factor (virus/poor food/lack of sleep/anxiety over a new situation etc) and they will give directions. The most common response is a slight positive response and your practitioner will find out more and strengthen the dose or change the remedy after they talk with you at the first follow up appointment.
